First, "decline" is not a Latin word. It is an English word with many possible meanings: "go down, descend, become weaker, become sicker, list noun forms."
M. A. Kidd lists these Latin verbs as possible equivalents for the English word DECLINE: "inclinare, occidere, ruere, delabi, degenerare, declinare" and others...each corresponding with one or more of the various shades of meaning listed above.
