Explanation: in English "to fight" may have several meanings: to fight an urge, to fight with words in a quarrel, to fight someone with your fists, to fight with weapons on a battle field... all these meanings in Latin, like in Italian, require different verbs. Furthemore, what's "it"? It may not be relevant in English, but in several languages one has to be more specific, otherwise translation is bound to be awkward. Thank you. |
