I know Carpe Diem loosely means "Seize the day!" Would it be technically ok to use Carpe Deum to mean Seize God or Sieze the Lord?

I think it can be perfectly applied.

Ex: auras vitales carpere (breathe, live, enjoy the vital breath/strength)

Explanation:
This would be the literal translation. But if by 'seize' your intent is to include such connotations as 'know, understand, embrace, etc.', then I think that 'apprehende Deum' (or simply 'prehende Deum') would be more appropriate.
