I will remind you that you are under caution and that you do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.

Explanation:
Saskaņā ar ASV likumiem persona pirms nopratināšanas ir jābrīdina par tās tiesībām (klusēt, prasīt advokātu utt.). Šī pēc idejas ir parasta nopratināšana, bet tā kā ASV pastāv jēdzieni "nopratināšana bez brīdinājuma" un "nopratināšana ar brīdinājumu", tad tai ir dots atšķirīgs nosaukums. Sk. arī Miranda warning (Miranda rule, Miranda rights).
