The vehicle was fitted with a hydraulic power assisted rack and pinion type system. In this system the steering force is transmitted from the steering wheel via a shaft to the steering rack. This force is then transmitted via nearside and offside track rods which are connected with steering arms to the wheel hub assemblies. |
