Tech/Engineering - IT (Information Technology) / Software for Gaming Machines | | English term or phrase: write pin of the BIOS SPI media | For Re-flashing of the BIOS chip, extra steps are required. Prior to installation of the Install and BIOS package compact flash cards, a jumper over both pins of JP4 needs to be placed which will enable the write pin of the BIOS SPI media. Once the BIOS package is authenticated by the installation software, the current BIOS SPI is erased and the package is installed. The machine must then be rebooted with jumper JP4 removed in order to use the new BIOS.
