The Rule of Reason is a doctrine developed by the United States Supreme Court in its interpretation of the Sherman Antitrust Act. The rule, stated and applied in the case of Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey v. United States, 221 U.S. 1 (1911), is that only combinations and contracts unreasonably restraining trade are subject to actions under the anti-trust laws, and that possession of monopoly power is not inherently illegal. |

Во објаснувањето 'unreasonably restraining' е суштината на проблемот, па оттаму „разум“ е сосема соодветна противтежа.
По аналогија на 'rule of law' = владеење на правото, мислам дека 'rule of reason' може да се преведе како „владеење на разумот“. Гугл дава резултати за „владеење на разумот“, но не многу и не баш во овој контекст како во примерот. НО веројатно е, исто така, и дека не постои директен еквивалент на македонски, со оглед на тоа што правните системи и практики ни се различни.
Ова е мојот предлог.
