I've used "bertahan terhadap penimbunan protein". In this context, I don't think it's mencegah/menentang/menghalang, all of which mean prevent. It's to "withstand".

I've used "bertahan terhadap penimbunan protein". In this context, I don't think it's mencegah/menentang/menghalang, all of which mean prevent. It's to "withstand".
