English term or phrase: terminally-ill
"Programme X was launched to raise funds for destitute and terminally-ill children."

The client wasn't happy with "sakit tanpa harapan untuk hidup" saying that it sounds terrible, and has suggested "sakit tenat" which to me sounds worse!

Explanation:
1) Kamus Inggeris-Melayu Dewan.
2) Terjemahan sendiri

suggestions for translation:

"sakit tenat" means 'seriously ill'. so it's definitely inaccurate.

Thanks May2. Actually the client didn't like words like "tiada harapan, maut" and all that. In the end they accepted simply "berpenyakit terminal".
