मराठीत क्रेडिट शब्दाला 'पत' असा प्रतिशब्द आहे. मात्र क्रेडिट्स ह्या बहुवचनी शब्दाला पती, पता असे शब्द योजता येणार नाहीत असे मला वाटते. कारण 'एक्सटेंशन ऑफ क्रेडिट्स' चा अनुवाद 'पतींचा विस्तार' होणार नाही. कारण 'पती' हा शब्द नवरा ह्या अर्थाने आपण योजतो. |

इंग्रजी भाषेतील credit हा शब्द बहूवचनी credits असा होत असला तरी त्याचा मराठी प्रतिशब्द/अर्थ असलेला पत हा शब्द बहूवचनीही पत असाच राहतो.
उदाहरणार्थ; "त्याची कुठल्याही बँकेत पत नाही आणि त्याची अनेक बँकांमध्ये पत आहे"
