English term or phrase: cap pile
My source gives little context but we're talking about auto tires. I found a small dictionary in a blog saying the following: "Cap piles are only added on high speed tires. These are extra layers of polyester fabric which helps to keep everything in place." Any suggestions for a Norwegian name?

Takk for forslag!
