Tricky choice this one - I actually used "storfamiliebil", but only because it more fitted with the rest of the translation. It was for a specific Ford model which can be either an 8 seater or a van.
I wish I could give points to both...

Explanation:
I nesten alle tilfeller brukes people carrier om en bil som har plass til litt flere passasjerer enn en vanlig femseter. Sjusetere er nærmest etablert som en egen klasse, og kalles gjerne MPV, selv om dette underforstått betyr fleksible løsninger der du kan ofre 3-4 seter og få plass til et par kjøleskap isteden. En people carrier har ikke noe annet formål enn å frakte folk, og når den ikke er stor nok til å kalles en buss, lander vi isteden på minibuss.
