English to Norwegian translations [PRO]

In a quote from a newspaper article written in the 1800s:
"Vi nævne fortrinsvis denne, fordi den forekommer os at give det klareste og fyldigste Indblik i en Begavelse, der ogsaa og maaske fornemmelig i denne Retning maa erkjendes at være af særdeles fremragende Natur."

Explanation:
Well, we were under Denmark for 400 years, so no wonder the written language in the late 18 hundreds still was pretty much the same as Danish - and some translators I edit from Danish into Norwegian still seem to think it is...
I think the word in this context could be translated with especially or preferentially, in modern Norwegian I think we would say "fortrinnsvis", "især", "spesielt" or similar words.
