English to Panjabi translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Law (general) | | English term or phrase: 29 Assu | I am translating a marriage document from English into German. It contains the above date in (I guess) Punjabi.
"The marriage was solemnized on 14/9/year (29 Assu) according to Sikh rites."
From what I found the month Assu dates from September 15 to October 14, which would not include the date given in the rendering according to the Gregorian calendar. Besides, I guess, that 29 Assu is somewhere around October 13 in the Gregorian calendar.
I would really appreciate someone confirming what I found on the Internet - or, of course, telling me what 29 Assu definitely comes to in the Gregorian calendar. This is in an official document and the result may be quite important for my client.
Thank you in advance. |
