Nie wiem, co tłumaczysz, ale może warto zostawić w oryginale i wytłumaczyć (w przypisie). Jak ktoś nie wie, o co chodzi, to przetłumaczenie tego wyrazu jako "gwizdkowy" lub "informator-demaskator", niewiele pomoże.
