Radiation Penetration Correction

X-Ray Diffraction data obtained as a function of depth shall be corrected for the *exponential weighting* of the measured lattice spacing caused by the penetration of the X-Ray beam into the subsurface lattice spacing gradient. The gradient correction shall be performed independently for each of the psi angles employed for measurement, before re-calculation of the gradient corrected stress.
