My father, who considered himself a man with some authority, went to the school and said it's really ridiculous, Nigella really doesn't have to do geography to O level. I don't think it's necessary. And they said sorry. It's compulsory. She absolutely has to. So in the end my mother wrote a letter saying Nigella is far too highly strung for a subject like geography. And I was the only girl in the school who didn’t have to do it.
