"The closed loop system causes the thing controlled to respond to a command by taking
into account what it was doing before the command was issued. The command cannot
be inappropriate because it is modified by the dynamics of a closed loop. In our example
from above, the closed loop BSCS first senses the amount of glucose in our blood
stream and then secretes the proper amount of insulin to deal with that precise
amount of glucose. "
