and the hitch must be the towing-connection thing:
hak holowniczy, or the so-called ucho holownicze
(but then I haven't seen yet any Silver Shadow being towed,
or any Silver Shadow hauling anything but its owner's royal three-letters.

and the blacket would be the bracket holding the hitch
meaning the wspornik / mocowanie / podpora / obejma tego przyłącza

a blacket would mean someone invented a new word within the last half hour
and a blanket would mean someone's really concered about keeping his ride (with hitch) spotless clean.
