Cortejo: o uprawnieniach nic nie ma, fakt, pojawia się natomiast wzmianka o programie Socrates, stąd ten stypendysta.
Wolny słuchacz studiuje na macierzystej uczelni, a "visiting student" jest studentem jednej uczelni, natomiast bierze udział w zajęciach gdzie indziej, co zresztą jasno wynika z podanego linka: "If you are currently studying at a University outwith the UK, then you may be able to spend time at The University of Edinburgh as a visiting student.".

Wolny słuchacz to po prostu coś innego.

Nie upieram się przy tym stypendyście, może ktos wpadnie na lepsze określenie, ale zdecydowanie podtrzymuję mój sprzeciw wobec wolnego słuchacza - to naprawdę zupełnie inna "kategoria". W tym linku z Helsinek zresztą coś w rodzaju wolnego słuchacza pojawia się na końcu, w dziale: Right to take indyvidual courses.

A zdanie: "A visiting student has to be enrolled at an other university while studying at the University of Helsinki. A statement from the applicant’s home institution confirming the applicant’s study plan and the transfer of credits is required." całkowicie wyklucza wolnego słuchacza!

disagree  Monika Lipiec: Wolny słuchacz to raczej osoba, która zdała egz. wstępny, ale nie dostała się na studia z braku miejsc. Może chodzić na zajęcia nie mając "uprawnień" typu legitymacja stud., a po zdaniu egz. ubiegać się o status pełnoprawnego studenta.

neutral  Cortejo: No właśnie - jako student innej uczelni przyjeżdża do Pcimia Dolnego (na przykład), bo tam są najlepsi wykładowcy jeżeli chodzi o hodowlę jedwabników ;-) Nie jest stypendystą, ani jest z wymiany. Wolny słuchacz, dla mnie ;-)
