Nakładanie materiału (np. środka grzybobójczego) w postaci aerosolu na powierzchnię (np. drewna).
Oczywiście w innych kontekstach odpowiedniejszy może być termin: "atomizacja", "natryskiwanie", "opylanie (zwłaszcza np. roślin środkami owadobójczymi), czy rozpylanie.
Kontekst źródłowy, jeśli się nie mylę, odnosi się do nakładania środka na powierzchnię drewna i "atomizing" po angielsku też nie jet tu terminem najlepszym. Lepszy byłby "spraying, treating by spraying with ...".
Ano, w tłumaczeniu nie ma lekko... Napisać można wszystko, ale napisać trafnie to jest właśnie SZTUKA.
