I've had a look there, of course - but, to be honest, I see very little indeed that convinces me that this expression is really used in this context. Most of the examples of 'show-topping' (as opposed to e.g. '...show. Stopping...' or '...show, stopping...' etc.) that I've looked at seem to refer to things like county shows and prize animals - which is not exactly how I'd describe Meg Ryan's classic, showpiece performance... :-)

Do you think there could possibly be a typo? Could the author have intended to say 'show stopping', do you think? That would certaoinly make sense in the context (cf. http://www.ldoceonline.com/Performing-topic/show-stopping)
