Jest to coraz popularniejsze zjawisko w Polsce - wielu delikwentów na wszelki wypadek zapisuje się do kilku szkół na wypadek, gdyby nie dostali się do wymarzonej uczelni, a potem życie (i uczelnia) weryfikuje liczbę faktycznie zainteresowanych studiowaniem w danej instytucji osób...
Żaden konkretny termin ani metafora nie przychodzi mi do głowy poza spadkiem liczby kandydatów, a tu coś bardziej żywego i popularnego się przydało...

"Odpływ kandydatów" dobrze współgra z wodnymi skojarzeniami, jakie nasuwa słowo "melt" - tyle że odpływ mógłby raczej oznaczać zmniejszone zainteresowanie daną uczelnią czy kierunkiem, czyli coś trochę innego niż to, o co nam tutaj chodzi. Dlatego chyba zostałbym przy "wykruszaniu się". |

| Grading comment Dziękuję Odpowiadającym za propozycje. Wybrałam tę odpowiedź z obawy przed tym, że wakacyjna erozja przyćmiłaby resztę tekstu przeze mnie tłumaczonego. ;)
