Skoro to szkoła średnia, to raczej świadectwo niż dyplom.
W niektórych szkołach możliwe jest wybranie trzech przedmiotów z trzeciej lub czwartej grupy przy opuszczeniu drugiej z nich za specjalnym pozwoleniem IBO (ang. non-regular diploma) lub zdawanie egzaminu z siedmiu przedmiotów (ocena z jednego z nich jest wtedy prezentowana na specjalnym certyfikacie i równoważna z oceną maturalną).
