chyba rzeczywiście o to chodzi ...
Could you please offer some alternatives to recess detention? My fourth grade son frequently (at least twice a month) is assigned at least one day (and sometimes up to three days) of recess detention for excessive talking and other disruptive behavior in the classroom. Disruptive behavior could be walking around without purpose, talking to people while the teacher is teaching or while other students are trying to do independent work, drumming the desk top, etc. In my opinion the lunch recess detention is not working and may, in fact, be counter productive and setting him up for failure in the afternoon. I am now trying to investigate alternative consequences. Unfortunately, after observing his class, I have noticed a general lack of respectful discipline. This is not a good atmosphere for my son, however we have to work within those parameters. Do you have alternatives to sitting with your head down for all or part of recess? |
