here means most likely with less interposing devices between the contacts and the actuator (such as one or more relays for example). At first reading I was tempted to understand "shorter wires" - but less electrical resistance does not change the response (stopping) time - time delays introduced by interposing devices can (a relay can delay a signal by between 8 and 20 miliseconds, a contactor by even 100 msec or more).
