Double belt press
The double belt or continuous press is made up by two electrically welded metal structures, worked on machine tools, placed one above the other in a parallel position compared to the floor. The lower part is supported from legs and holds a series of jack screws to support the upper part. The pressing planes are made up of a variable number of electrically welded steel rolling shutters that have been worked on machine tools. The rolling shutters are single monoliths themselves and, with their structure, make up the catenaries realized with rectified pins, antifriction sleeves, sliding ball bearings. The inlet heads support a chain stretcher system made up with torsion-bar and oleo dynamic pistons in order to ensure a parallel tensioning action. The movement in height of the upper belt is carried out with jack screws moved by electric motors and the manufacturing thickness adjustment is obtained automatically without spacers. During the up and down movements, the parallel action can be ensured by torsion bars.
