Fragment opisu systemu:

XXX purchased and physically installed fixed cameras (Sony model XXX) at each lane of the gate areas monitored by each sites Customs Officers. The exact placement of the cameras can be found in their As-Built documentation.

XXXX Inc. positioned and configured these cameras for optimal resolution of the particular camera and lighting conditions to ***capture the license numbers*** per direction by the Department Of Energy Country Manager.

Nie rozumiem do końca, czy chodzi tu o rozpoznanie numerów rejestracyjnych, czy jakiejś licencji?

Taki OCR dla tablic rejestracyjnych. Pozwala np. rozpoznać samochód na bramkach na autostradzie, wyliczyć średnią prędkość, a potem.... wiadomo.
