More like a brand name than a geographical name 01:37 Apr 4, 2009
I am not sure if I follow your line of thinking; "Deep" in the name refers to "deep powder," and "temerity" is just a reference to a bold character of the terrain; this is not semantically empty, it is just not a name of any particular formation of the terrain, unlike "bowl," "gulch," or "ridge." When you Google it, you'll see it for yourself - no other "temerities," just this one; if in doubt, ask on the En > En forum, or call the resort;
BTW, next to it, Aspen Highlands has Steeplechase - just like that, and it is a pretty good description of what that part of the mountain looks like - but again, it is not a geographical name! |
