The Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 introduces a new regime for liquor licensing. This replaces the existing system which has been in place since 1976.
The main provisions of the 2005 Act will be introduced during 2008/2009. The main provisions include:
All applications must be determined in accordance with the licensing objectives stated in the Act
The present system of different types of licence for public houses, hotels etc are replaced by one licence, the “premises licence”
Premises Licences will require to include an “operating plan” giving details of how the premises will operate
Persons authorising or supervising the sale of alcohol will require to have a “personal licence”

|Dziękuję za wszystkie odpowiedzi. Wybieram zezwolenie, ponieważ: 1) takiego terminu używa polski ustawodawca 2) w UK słowa "permission" i "licence" stosowane są zamiennie w tym kontekście: Permission to sell alcohol, provide public entertainment, stage a play, show a film or|
provide late night refreshment (between 11.00pm and 5.00am) would be integrated into a
single licence—the “premises licence”. (http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/stockton/pdfdocs/Licensing%20Times%20Issue%202.pdf)
