The flight chains are of 3/4" chain and carry pairs of pusher and retarder dogs. There are five stations to the machine all at one level. The pusher dogs are mounted at 25.5" pitch intervals and are not adjustable. The retarder dogs are adjustable and are set to the base length of the erected blank.

The corrugated blank when pulled from the hopper is erected into a 'U' in the erection station as the base is pulled to the machine bed and the front and back of the tray is formed by the pusher and retarder dogs. |
