disagree  Polangmar: Niekoniecznie urządzenia/aparaty, mogą to też być węże, rurki i inne elementy. Poza tym przyjętym przyimkiem przy tego typu wyrażeniach jest "za", a nie "po": www.proz.com/kudoz/1235406 . PS. Jasne, że "znajdujące się", a nie "umieszczone".

  -> Człowieku, użyłem "po" żeby nie sugerować położenia w przestrzeni a w ciągu technologicznym. Stąd moja odpowiedź jest jednoznaczna i nie ma się wątpliwości czy czhodzi o połozenie w przestrzeni czy w ciągu technologicznym!

Kiedyś w firmie długo debatowałem nad tym wyrażeniem z inżynierami.
Doszliśmy do wniosku, że w zależności od kontekstu trzeba wybrać właściwy termin, a mamy ich trochę do wyboru:

upstream - na dopływie / w części (odcinku) poprzedzającym / zlokalizowanym / przed lub samo przed

downstream - na odpływie / w dalszej części (odcinku) / segmencie / za (czymś) lub samo za

natomiast upstream / downstream pressure znaczy ciśnienie wlotowe / wylotowe (często też na wylocie / wlocie) rzadziej dolotowe

Może to trochę pomoże.
