A bridging study such as the XXX immunobridge study is used to infer comparability of the vaccine from one population to another; usually conducted when researchers want to extend the indication of the vaccine from one age group to another or from one population to another; in the XXX study, the efficacy data are being extrapolated from the 15-25 year old age group to the 10-14 year old age group based on similar immunogenicity profile.
