Explanation: Case manager in USA usually refers to the education/social services; a case manager is assigned to the case/family/child and is responsible for coordinating all services across agency lines, and serves as a single point of contact in helping to obtain appropriate services; in most of the cases it's a social worker, but a special educator or any person, such as a parent coordinator, working for the agency/organization/school can be assigned as well. I know because I'm a special educator working with families in Denver, CO.
