tak jak w powiedzeniu: oddzielić ziarno od plew - to separate the wheat from the chaff
'To te plewy, o których mówiliśmy'.
ale masz tu odniesienie do wcześniejszej rozmowy, więc jest ważne, jak ona dokładnie brzmiała.

Skoro nie ma tej poprzedniej rozmowy, to może zmienić na "Tak jak mówiliśmy, trzeba oddzielić ziarno od plew"? W całości to powiedzenie już nie brzmi rustykalnie, jest potoczne.

Asker: tej rozmowy nie ma w tekście - cała kwestia rozpoczyna się stwierdzeniem, że pracownica ma być zwolniona po czym asystent dodaje "She's the chaff we talked about." Też myslałam o plewach, ale nie wiem czy nie są za rustykalne jak na korporacyjną scenerię.
