Freya: Excuse me?
All the mothers: Yes?
Freya: I’m here for the picnic.
The mothers look her up and down. Smile in a fake way.
All the mothers: Not being funny but -
Freya: Okay.
All the mothers: Yeah.
Freya: My baby’s kicking.
All the mothers: How sweet!.
Freya: Not in a good way.
All the mothers: Ahhhh.
Freya: Do you worry about the future?
All the mothers: Not really.

Taka trochę surrealistyczna wymiana (przed tym spiewają Happiness by Goldfrapp). jak sądzicie czy chodzi tu o to, że sytuacja jest dziwna (Freya jest jeszcze w ciąży, niespecjalnie pasuje do towarzystwa reszty perfekcyjnych matek, jest przenikliwie oceniana i raczej negatywnie) czy chodzi o to że sytuacja po prostu "nie jest śmieszna" w sensie ironicznym. A może jeszcze o coś innego? Potrzebuję jakiegoś 'świeżego' spojrzenia. dzięki

Explanation:
Zgadzam sie z toba, ze problemem jest tu brak dziecka, a raczej "dziecko w brzuchu na pikniku"
patrza na brzuch i jw. albo "niech się pani nie dziwi, ale..." w domysle: ze tak na pania patrzymy , ...ale co sobie pani wyobraza?
