Amyelosis transitella (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae)
Explanation:

"The navel orangeworm (NOW, Amyelois transitella Walker) is a multivoltine scavenger on fallen or damaged fruits and nuts and can also attack undamaged nuts."

Lepidoptera: Pyralidae

rząd: Lepidoptera > ***Motyle*** (Lepidoptera - z gr. λεπίς lepis, dopełniacz λεπίδος lepidos - "łuska" i πτερόν pteron - "skrzydło"; łuskoskrzydłe) – rząd owadów uskrzydlonych, blisko spokrewniony z chruścikami.

rodzina: Pyralidae > ***Omacnicowate*** (Pyralidae) - rodzina motyli obejmująca ponad 10 tysięcy gatunków[1] niewielkich motyli nocnych, czyli ***ciem*** o dość długich skrzydłach: przednich trójkątnych, tylnych zaokrąglonych.

"The navel orangeworm feeds on a variety of fruits and nuts and is the most damaging caterpillar in pistachio. Almonds, figs, pomegranates, and walnuts are also major hosts. The pistachio nut is susceptible to infestation as soon as hull split occurs. The first signs of an infestation are small, pinhole-size entrances into the nutmeat. As worms grow in size, the entire nut is fed upon and extensive amounts of webbing and frass are present. Infested pistachios will split early and can usually be seen by mid-July."

WAŻNE:

"NOW is native of the southwestern United States and Mexico and was first described in Arizona in 1899. In 1921 it was found infesting damaged and rotting navel oranges in Arizona, and so its common name originated (Rice et al. 1996)."
