The number of people or households exposed to a vehicle, without regard to whether they actually saw or heard the material conveyed by that vehicle.

Definition:
There are of course various types of audiences and in Portuguese (like in other languages) we have specific words for TV audience, Radio audience, etc. When referring to audience in general such as the case in marketing one would use the expression "público" or depending on the context "público-alvo".
