Explanation:
Acho que se pode deixar "clouded" de fora e formular no sentido de: "se a promessa estiver empolada".

De acordo com o Dicionário Michaelis, "empolar" significa, entre outras coisas, "5 Tornar pomposo, soberbo, exagerado, ostentoso: Empolar o estilo. vint e vpr 6 Ensoberbecer-se, intumescer-se, inchar-se"

Asker: Obrigado Victor, mas acho que a palavra empolada, aqui no Brasil, tem um sentido menos usual no caso específico deste texto. Além disso, usa-se aqui, mais no sentido de "inchado". Pensei em usar "se a promessa seja apenas um modismo", o que acham?
