Explanation:
Fine preparation is done with a Micro-Abrasive unit here at the Field Station. We use units from Crystal-Mark "Swam Blaster". We use units with a large capacity tank so it opperates for several hours before it needs refilling. Blasting media (Powders) will vary depending on the matrix. For tougher matrix, we add some aluminum powders. Most of our work is done with standard sodium bicarb (baking soda). We order it by the 40lb bag from Arm&Hammer. The powders can be recycled.
