English term or phrase: the twain shall meet
This is the title of an episode. There are no more references to this expression in the whole episode, so I don't think I can add anything to clarify you.

All I know is that twain can mean "two", but I'd really like to know if there's any equivalent to "the twain shall meet" in Portuguese (any Portuguese expression or saying that I don't know and maybe you do).

Thanks in advance ;)

Os extremos ir-se-ão tocar. / Os extremos tocam-se.
Explanation:
Tendo em conta o poema utilizado como exemplo pela farre, "Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet" ,penso que que a expressão deste título não andará longe da nossa "os extremos tocam-se".

os dois se encontrarão

Explanation:
It's a new spin on a Rudyard Kipling quote.

I don't know the context of your episode, but it's a good idea to check how this poem has been translated into Portuguese

Opening lines

The Ballad of the East and West

Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,
Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God's great Judgment Seat;
But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed, nor Birth,
When two strong men stand face to face, tho' they come from the ends of the earth!
