O assunto é o desenho em 3D com sólidos e superfícies no AutoCAD 2008:
"you can create a box and then remove shapes from the box as if you were carving it... you can quickly turn a series of curved polylines, arcs and lines into a warped surface..."
Por exemplo, numa caixa é possível esculpir na forma de um arco, em uma das arestas, coloca-se um cilindro de forma que a curvatura do cilindro "empurre' a aresta para baixo e fazendo com que a aresta desapareça. Assim, agora a caixa ficou sem uma das arestas e no lugar ficou afundada com uma forma curvada. Na verdade é como se ela agora tivesse duas arestas, entre as quais fica a forma curvada.
