Encontrei uma explicação no babylon:
"apelido sátiro para uma rede de computadores onde a informação é transmitida fisicamente pelos usuários: discos, fitas magnéticas, etc."
Mas não sei se há um termo em português (BR) ou se ele deve ser deixado em inglês...

O termo existe em PT(br). Já em PT(pt), manteria sneakernet ou, como sugere o Martin, optaria por uma frase que transmitisse o seu sentido.
