After an indiscriminate beta rally for most asset classes in 2009, 2010 is more of a year of differentiation in equities. Certain managers are favoring high-quality companies with strong cash-flow yields and solid capital structures, which should trade at a premium. Others believe that technological innovation can significantly drive conservation and shape consumer and corporate behavior, and are investing in companies that support innovation, such as broadband mobility.
