In Brazil, it would be "dirigir" (or "conduzir"), since here we make no difference between "to drive" (cars) and "to ride" (motorcycles); I mean, there is no difference in the language; not two verbs. Both are "dirigir" (or "conduzir").

Só poderia ser conduzir/dirigir se fosse a MOTOR SCOOTER só o SCOOTER é o patinete que as crianças utilizam o pé para dar impulso.
