Column Description of Column
attempt: All classes enrolled in as of 12th class day.
earn: All credits that will count toward a degree; includes graded courses,
pass/no pass, CLEP, transfer credit, challenged courses, Assessment of
Prior Learning, and Advanced Placement. Courses numbered below 10 are
not included in cum, but are included in semester line. ** pass +
quality = earn **
pass: This includes all courses taken pass/no pass, transfer credits from
previously attended institutions, CLEP, Assessment of Prior Learning,
and Advanced Placement. These hours do not receive points (grades) but
are part of the total hours in the earn column.
quality: Hours taken at SEU for a grade and includes F’s, but excludes: pass/no pass, CLEP, transfer credit, etc. These exclusions are part of the
total in the earn column.
points: A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1
Multiply hours by grade point. Example: B x 3hr class = 9 points, F x
3hr class= 0 points.
gpa: Divide points by quality hours to compute grade point average.
