AS Level = A level

Estes exames dão direito a entrar nas Universidades do Reino Unido (Meus filhos fizeram estes cursos e prestaram os exames). Na Escola Britânica do Brasil o exame chama-se International Baccalaureate). Em geral não é traduzido por não haver correspondência em português ou mesmo nos Estados Unidos.

O link abaixo, do governo britânico, explica que o "AS Level" é um nível abaixo do "A Level". O "A level" pode ser atingido fazendo primeiro o "AS Level e completando com o "A2". O "AS Level" equivale a 50% da nota para conseguir o "A Level".

AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) level qualifications focus on traditional study skills. They normally take two years to complete full-time, although they're also available to study part-time."

O 2º link, da Universidade de Cambridge, também explica que o "AS Level" é um passo no caminho para conseguir o "A Level".
