Fully rinse caustic soda liquid and other liquids which may harden, before stopping pump operation.
Drain cooling pipe and jacket and replace liquid with antifreeze solution.
It should be noted carefully that, if this is neglected, the pump and piping may be broken due to volumetric expansion caused by freezing.
When temporarily stopping a pump handling caustic liquid soda and other liquids which are apt to harden, keep the quenching or mechanical seal flushing line liquid flowing (with external water injection) at all times.
