The entries in this database are all derived from peer-reviewed studies, either of change through time in a single plot, or of response in parallel plots undergoing different pressures. An individual study may have reported species richness, mean species abundance, or both. ROWS are classified by pressure type, the taxon under study, biome and region. The model is static rather than dynamic, and deterministic rather than stochastic.
