a ibm usa, microsoft também - ambos no Brasil não traduzem. (não que eu concorde, mas seguiria o que está em vigor).

Eu suponho que se quer mesmo sugerir uma metáfora para balde... espaço de alocação que tem um limite para 'ficar cheio'.

Por fim, se eu tivesse a liberdade de não seguir o que emplacou no brasil, acho que localizaria como 'lote'.
